I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really going ahead.
